Trevor Lewis signs with Utah in ECHL

2012 NHL Stanley Cup Final – Game Six

LOS ANGELES, CA - JUNE 11: Trevor Lewis #22 of the Los Angeles Kings holds up the Stanley Cup after the Kings defeated the New Jersey Devils 6-1 to win the Stanley Cup series 4-2 in Game Six of the 2012 Stanley Cup Final at Staples Center on June 11, 2012 in Los Angeles, California. Stanley Cup champion Trevor Lewis has a new place to play thanks to the lockout.

The ECHL’s Utah Grizzlies announced they signed Lewis to a deal to play for them. There he’ll be joining up with Montreal’s Colby Armstrong as well as former NHLers Riley Armstrong and Brad Mills.

Lewis is a Salt Lake City native, so joining up with the local squad makes plenty of sense to get some games in. He’s not the only Kings player in the ECHL right now as Kyle Clifford is with the Ontario Reign in Southern California.

Last season with the Kings, Lewis had three goals and four assists during the regular season but became a playoff hero of sorts adding another three goals and six assists on L.A.'s march to the title.
