Winnipeg forward Evander Kane, currently playing for Dinamo Minsk of the KHL, has been suspended one game for checking Avangard Omsk defenseman Nikita Pivtsaki in the head on Monday.

Kane will miss Wednesday’s game against HC Yugra.

Whether Kane will be missed by Dinamo Minsk is another thing. The 21-year-old has yet to register a point in six games while racking up 41 penalty minutes and a minus-4 rating.

He also showed up to the KHL out of shape, according to his coach.
