NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly and the NHLPA’s Steve Fehr did talk on Saturday. The bad news is that they didn’t schedule any further face-to-face meetings and given that the NHL campaign supposedly needs to start by Nov. 2 to preserve an 82-game season…that’s very bad news. Sadly, it’s also in no way surprising, given how their last meeting ended. (Sportsnet)
