CBA negotiations: Not much accomplished today in New York

NHL and NHLPA logo

The NHL and NHLPA met again today in New York, and to nobody’s real surprise the two sides made no meaningful progress towards negotiating a new CBA that will end the lockout.

Per NHL.com’s Dan Rosen, union counsel Steve Fehr told reporters that no core economic issues were discussed and that no further meetings are scheduled.

It’s been reported that the players may make another proposal soon, but one wasn’t presented today. The NHLPA continues to maintain the league is free to make its own proposal.

Enjoy the baseball games, everyone.
