No CBA meetings planned for rest of week

Daly

The NHL and NHLPA won’t formally meet Thursday or Friday, reports TSN.

Instead, representatives from each side, including deputy commissioner Bill Daly, will travel to Edmonton for a hearing in front of the Alberta Labour Board.

Seems like a good use of time.

To be fair, the two sides have been speaking informally on a regular basis, and sometimes it’s the informal talks that produce the most progress in CBA negotiations.

However, all this wrangling in front of provincial labor boards that the union has initiated isn’t helping to get everyone back to the bargaining table.
