Add Michal Neuvirth’s name to the long list of players who will consider playing in Europe should the NHL lock out the players following the CBA’s expiration on Sept. 15.
“Obviously, I have a plan B,” the Capitals’ 24-year-old goalie said Thursday, as per the Washington Post. “I got a few offers from Europe but I haven’t decided. I still want to play here the whole season.”
You know, at this point, perhaps we should just report those players that aren’t thinking about taking a job overseas if there’s a work stoppage. (For example, Philadelphia’s veteran defenseman Kimmo Timonen, who’d rather use the time off to rest his 37-year-old body.)
But chances are we’ll just keep reporting any tidbit of news that comes out.
