The New York Rangers have added some toughness by signing Arron Asham to a two-year, $2 million contract.

The 34-year-old will join his sixth NHL club, and when he steps on the ice with the Blueshirts he’ll have played for all five Atlantic Division teams.

Asham gets a slight raise over the $775,000 he made last season in Pittsburgh, where he registered five goals, 11 assists and 76 PIM.

His signing likely means the end of Brandon Prust’s time with the Rangers.
