The Los Angeles Kings improved to 9-0 on the road with their 2-1 overtime victory over New Jersey on Wednesday. After the game, Kings forward Mike Richards talked about the team’s stunning run. You can check it out below:
Probably the most noteworthy part of that interview was his praise of Anze Kopitar. In Richards books, Kopitar is a “top-two, top-three in the world in skill.” Kopitar surpassed the 70-point mark for the third straight campaign, which is particularly impressive given the Kings’ defensive system.
Kopitar scored the overtime winner and is now tied with Dustin Brown for the team lead in playoff goals with seven.
