Senators are 0-10 in series they’ve trailed after 3 games

As Ian Mendes pointed out following the Senators’ 1-0 loss to the New York Rangers, Ottawa has never won a series that they’ve trailed after three games. They’ve previously fallen behind in 10 playoff series heading into Game 4 and it’s never worked out for them.

Of course, as Spock once said, “For everything, there is a first time.”

The odds have never been in Ottawa’s favor, so why should they be now? That doesn’t change the fact that they’ve looked good in this series.

Since the third period of Game 1, the Ottawa Senators have managed to hold their own against the Rangers. There’s no denying that the Rangers current edge is significant, but this series is far from over.

That being said, the Ottawa Senators are now in a position where they have to win on Wednesday if they want to avoid having their backs against the wall when the series returns to New York.
