St. Louis signed Jaden Schwartz, who they selected with the 14th overall pick in the 2010 NHL entry draft, to an entry-level contract on March 12. He didn’t play right away, but with Andy McDonald sidelined, he was asked to make his NHL debut on Saturday against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
It took him just 19:24 minutes to find the back of the net.
Schwartz had 32 goals and 88 points in 60 games over two seasons with Colorado College. He’s one of the Blues’ top prospects and he’ll get a chance to play a meaningful role while McDonald is out.
