Sedin twins to be split up tonight?

The struggling Sedin twins could be split up for tonight’s Canucks-Predators game in Nashville, reports Jason Botchford of The Province.

At this morning’s skate, Henrik centered a line between Byron Bitz and Mason Raymond while Daniel was with Ryan Kesler and Alex Burrows.

Given the Canucks are 8-2-2 in their last 12 games, now might seem like a curious time for coach Alain Vigneault to shake things up. But not if you’ve been watching the games. The Sedins haven’t been themselves for almost a month. If not for some spectacular goaltending and the emergence of rookie Cody Hodgson, Vancouver’s 8-2-2 record could be 2-5-5.

Vigneault says he’ll use the afternoon to think about whether he’ll actually go with the new lines. Perhaps it’s just a motivational ploy. Nothing like taking a hard Byron Bitz pass off your ankle to scare a guy straight.
