Whether you’re interested for fantasy hockey reasons or just want to know which goalie your team is playing in a given day, we thought it might be helpful to share our best guesses (based on various previews from newspapers and Web sites plus our own instincts) on who might start each day. Here’s the starters for tonight’s later starts.
Los Angeles @ Nashville - 8 p.m. ET
Los Angeles’ starter: Jonathan Bernier will get the start tonight. With Bernier and Quick both playing well, these two should rotate the rest of the year. Quick is the top guy no matter what. (Source)
Nashville’s starter: Pekka Rinne will once again start for the Preds. They need to get back into the top eight so he’ll carry the load the rest of the way. (Source)
San Jose @ Dallas - 8:30 p.m. ET
San Jose’s starter: Antti Niemi will try to redeem himself after getting spanked by Chicago last night. It’ll be his 26th straight start of the season. (Source)
Dallas’ starter: Kari Lehtonen will go for Dallas as they look to keep up with the playoff race in the West. (Source)
Phoenix @ Calgary - 9:30 p.m. ET
Phoenix’s starter: Our best educated guess here is that Ilya Bryzgalov will start. It’s a key battle with a team they’re in the hunt for the playoffs with. It only makes sense.
Calgary’s starter: Miikka Kiprusoff will get the start once again for Calgary. (Source)
