Whether you’re interested for fantasy hockey reasons or just want to know which goalie your team is playing in a given day, we thought it might be helpful to share our best guesses (based on various previews from newspapers and Web sites plus our own instincts) on who might start each day.

7:00 PM ET games

Los Angeles @ Boston

Likely Los Angeles starter: Jonathan Quick - Jonathan Bernier started last time, so the Kings probably will give Quick another start. (Source: Los Angeles Times.)

Likely Boston starter: Tim Thomas - Hard to argue with his results lately. (Source: Boston Bruins Twitter feed.)

Florida @ NY Islanders

Likely Florida starter: Tomas Vokoun (Source: George Richards.)

Likely NY Islanders starter: Dwayne Roloson - Again, it’s not really Rolo’s fault that the Islanders are losing again and again. (Source: Katie Strang.)

Nashville @ Carolina

Likely Nashville starter: Pekka Rinne - He just earned a shutout, so no surprise here. (Source for both: On the Forecheck.)

Likely Carolina starter: Cam Ward - Justin Peters lost the last game in a shootout, so Ward is the odds-on favorite to earn the start. (Source for both: On the Forecheck.)

Tampa Bay @ Buffalo

Likely Tampa Bay starter: Mike Smith - Did the Lightning even have goalies in the last game? (Source: Raw Charge.)

Likely Buffalo starter: Ryan Miller (Source: Buffalo News.) UPDATE: Patrick Lalime will start. Ryan Miller is a late scratch and is listed day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Toronto @ Montreal

Likely Toronto starter: Jonas Gustavsson - It sounds like it will be a match between “The Monster” vs. the man facing monster expectations. (Source: Jonas Siegel.)

Likely Montreal starter: Carey Price - You really cannot say enough good things about the way Price has been performing. (Source: Habs Inside Out.)

Philadelphia @ Washington

Likely Philadelphia starter: Brian Boucher - Some people are tired of the “Is Sergei Bobrovski too tired?” talk, so perhaps it will be refreshing to see Boucher in net. Then again, he’s playing against Washington, so maybe he won’t want to play as much. (Source for both: Broad Street Hockey.)

Likely Washington starter: Michal Neuvirth - Braden Holtby played the last game and didn’t even make it through the entire contest, so of course Neuvirth will get the start today. (Source for both: Broad Street Hockey.)

8:00 pm ET games

NY Rangers @ Minnesota

Likely NY Rangers starter: Henrik Lundqvist - No guarantee, but it looks like Hank will get the start. (Source: Andrew Gross.)

Likely Minnesota starter: Niklas Backstrom - Jose Theodore kept the Wild in the game against Detroit last night, now it’s Backstrom’s turn to try to keep the winning streak going as Marian Gaborik returns to Minnesota. (Source: Michael Russo.)

New Jersey @ St. Louis

Likely New Jersey starter: Michael McKenna - With Martin Brodeur injured, it was either McKenna or Johan Hedberg. Not sure why it’s not Hedberg. (Source: Tom Gulitti.)

Likely St. Louis starter: Jaroslav Halak - Ty Conklin played last time, so now Halak will try to get something going for still kind of struggling St. Louis. (Source: St. Louis Post Dispatch.)

Colorado @ Dallas

Likely Colorado starter: Peter Budaj - Budaj played well in Craig Anderson’s absence, so it makes sense not to put too much of a burden on Anderson. The Avs are quietly hot right now, by the Stars are a tough opponent. (Source: Adrian Dater.)

Note: other sources claim Craig Anderson, so beware.

Likely Dallas starter: Kari Lehtonen - Not much mystery with this one, though. (Source: Dallas Morning News.)

Stay tuned for the probable goalies for the last two games later today.
