Today’s Starting Goalies - November 16

Whether you’re interested for fantasy hockey reasons or just want to know which goalie your team is playing in a given day, we thought it might be helpful to share our best guesses (based on various previews from newspapers and Web sites plus our own instincts) on who might start each day.

7:00 PM ET games

Nashville @ Toronto

Likely Nashville starter: Pekka Rinne - The Predators’ workhorse goalie is starting to get things together this season, slowly but surely. (Source for both: On the Forecheck.)

Likely Toronto starter: J.S. Giguere - The Maple Leafs are really falling apart right now. They’re hoping that the veteran Giguere can help them to get back into things in the East. Otherwise things might get even uglier. (Source for both: On the Forecheck.)

Philadelphia @ Montreal

Likely Philadelphia starter: Sergei Bobrovsky - It’s a battle between two elite teams in the East, so it makes sense that Bobrovsky gets the start. The question is, can the rookie adjust to the grind of being a No. 1 starter in the NHL? So far, he’s passing most of his first tests with flying colors. (Source: Frank Seravalli.)

Likely Montreal starter: Carey Price - Price is at the top of his game right now, but he’ll face a real test in the Flyers tonight. (Source: Pat Hickey.)

9:00 PM ET game

Anaheim @ Dallas

Likely Anaheim starter: Jonas Hiller - It’s rarely easy to get a guaranteed reading on whom the Ducks will start, but luckily, Hiller gets almost every start anyway so it’s safe to put him in if you like the matchup.

Likely Dallas starter: Kari Lehtonen - No big surprise here, considering how much of a break the Stars have had since Friday. (Source: ESPN Dallas.)
