So you think it would be easy being a rich superstar athlete wouldn’t you? Not if you’re Ilya Kovalchuk of the New Jersey Devils so far this year. Kovalchuk has struggled scoring goals this year, but you’d think in the shootout against the Sabres he’d stand a good chance of getting it done. Whether he’s squeezing the stick too tight or there are gremlins in the ice at Prudential Center in Newark, Kovalchuk’s shootout attempt on Sabres goalie Jhonas Enroth with the game on the line came up a bit short of expectations for Devils fans.
