2010 Stanley Cup finals schedule

Now that the Stanley Cup finals opponents are all set, the NHL is more than happy to announce what the finals schedule will be. I think I speak for everyone here at NBC when I say that I hope it doesn’t end in a sweep.

Game 1 Saturday, May 29 8:00 p.m. Philadelphia at Chicago NBC, CBC, RDS

Game 2 Monday, May 31 8:00 p.m. Philadelphia at Chicago NBC, CBC, RDS

Game 3 Wednesday, June 2 8:00 p.m. Chicago at Philadelphia VERSUS, CBC, RDS

Game 4 Friday, June 4 8:00 p.m. Chicago at Philadelphia VERSUS, CBC, RDS

*Game 5 Sunday, June 6 8:00 p.m. Philadelphia at Chicago NBC, CBC, RDS

*Game 6 Wednesday, June 9 8:00 p.m. Chicago at Philadelphia NBC, CBC, RDS

*Game 7 Friday, June 11 8:00 p.m. Philadelphia at Chicago NBC, CBC, RDS

* - if necessary

No real complaints here about the spacing out of the games, unlike some other sports going through their playoffs at the moment (ahem, NBA), as the only time there will be more than one day off during the finals would be between Game 5 and Game 6 when there’d be a two-day break. NBC gets to air potentially five games of a seven game series which we’re all excited about here, and at the very least there will be two games.
