Setoguchi defends his 'dive' against Wings

I didn’t get to see the Devin Setoguchi “dive” until this morning,
but I can see where Mike Babcock had a bit of an issue with it. That
being said, it’s something you see in hockey all the time, and not just
from Setoguchi; players feel a stick by their faces and react as if they
were just hit across the head with a 2×4.

Setoguchi isn’t fazed
much by the criticism, especially with Red Wings coach Mike Babcock
saying, “You are from Western Canada, don’t do that crap.”

Per
Chris McCosky of The Detroit News:

“It is what it
is,” Setoguchi said. “Emotions get high in the playoffs
and people say stuff. But if you’ve watched me through the year, I don’t
think I’m considered a diver. I just do my part out there and try to
help the team out.”
