Kings-Canucks game goes to OT

For playoff overtime lovers (aka any hockey fan with a pulse), today’s been a goldmine. Not to be outclassed by the Canadiens-Capitals thriller, the late game between Vancouver and Los Angeles is going into overtime too.

Neither team could muster a goal after the wild, four-goal second period. The Versus crew points out an interesting fact: all seven playoff games have been decided by a goal. If Karl Marx were a hockey fan, he’d be awfully happy with the parity so far.

Could Hart Trophy hopeful Henrik Sedin be the hero? Perhaps one of the young, talented Kings such as Drew Doughty or Anze Kopitar will come up with a first ever OT playoff goal? Or will it be a faceless grinder?

It should be interesting to watch, either way.
