NBC’s coverage of the Conference quarterfinals

NBC will carry two (with possible four) games of the NHL conference quarterfinals, as we finally get a national look at Ryan Miller and the Buffalo Sabres and Ilya Bryzgalov and the Phoenix Coyotes. We could also get a look at the Chicago and Nashville series, if they go past four games. Which they most likely will. Here’s the NBC schedule for the first round:

#3 Buffalo vs. #6 Boston - Saturday, April 17, 1:00 p.m. (Game 2)

#4 Phoenix @ #5 Detroit - Sunday, April 18, 3:00 p.m. (Game 3)

#2 Chicago vs. #7 Nashville - Saturday, April 24, 3:00 p.m. (Game 5 - if necessary)

#4 Phoenix @ #5 Detroit - Sunday, April 25, 2:00 p.m. (Game 6 - if necessary)

As always, we’ll be providing in-depth coverage of these games on Pro Hockey Talk, along with in-game chats for both games.

I’m excited for Ryan Miller to get some national television exposure, as well as for the country to see exactly how far the Coyotes have come this season.

Hopefully the Coyotes - Red Wings series gets prolonged and we get to see an elimination game.
