Mike Modano wasn’t the only player who left fans ferklempt this week as Keith Tkachuk - another American born great - decided to hang up his skates for good at the end of this season. Thankfully, the St. Louis Blues made it clear just how much the power forward meant to the team and their fans. (I have to admit that I found it charming when Blues fans began chanting “Keith Tka-chuk! Keith Tka-chuk!”) Here are two videos about “Keith Tka-chuk!” The first one features the last few moments of his career on home ice, plus his “farewell speech.”

Next, NHL Network put together this brief video that chronicles his career accomplishments and some commentary from his colleagues. (Note the music, which either is from “American Beauty” or is eerily and amusingly close.)

Finally, Joe Pelletier wonders if “Walt” is Hall of Fame worthy. What do you think, hockey fans?
