$10K reward offered for Crosby's missing stick

The search for the missing stick and glove used by Sidney Crosby
while scoring the gold medal-winning goal is getting serious. Reebok
Canada is now offering a $10,000 reward:

TORONTO (AP) – Reebok Canada is offering a $10,000
reward, no questions asked, for the return of the stick and gloves
Sidney Crosby used to score in overtime in Canada’s Olympic championship
victory over the United States.

The equipment disappeared after
Crosby tossed his stick and ripped off his gloves to celebrate. Hockey
Canada says all of the equipment was collected and was being put into
the players’ bags when it was noticed Crosby’s stick and glove were

Reebok has set up an e-mail hotline for people to send in
tips. Hockey Canada also is trying to figure out what happened and
security officers are reviewing video that shows people leaving the rink
with sticks.

No questions asked, for a stick and glove that “there’s absolutely no
substitute for”; yeah, I’m guessing that if someone did did the gear on
purpose — and at this point that has to be what happened, right? —
then they are holding out for much, much more than that.

course, it’s not as if they’ll be able to just sell the stick and glove
in ten years as if no one remembers that they were stolen.
