Video: Jones, Roenick praise Predators adding Turris, Sens getting Duchene

OzZMNMFpdHg0
Matt Duchene is "beyond excited" with the move to the Senators and fans can expect to see an extremely motivated player in Ottawa.

You could say a lot of things about the mammoth, three-team trade that sent Matt Duchene to the Ottawa Senators, Kyle Turris to the Nashville Predators, and a bucket of futures to the Colorado Avalanche.

Delightfully, it’s one of those rare times when you could realistically call everyone a “winner.”

As you can see from the video above this post’s headline, Duchene said he’s “beyond excited” to join the Senators, where he also gets closer to home. Jeremy Roenick and Mike Jones both seem in favor of the move from Colorado.

More from PHT on Duchene:

He considers this a learning experience.

Roenick and Milbury are also impressed by the move from the Predators’ standpoint. Nashville gets deep down the middle, and Jones points out that they also took care of negotiations with Turris, avoiding what could have been a distraction.

As PHT notes, the Predators are really going for it after falling two wins shy of a Stanley Cup last season.

[Turris felt like things just weren’t going to work out with Senators]
