The Washington Capitals have Justin Williams as “Mr. Game 7.” Some might have dismissed Bryan Rust as the Pittsburgh Penguins’ answer to Williams, but that counter seems more reasonable now.
Despite some exciting action, the Penguins and Capitals were tied 0-0 almost halfway through the second period of Game 7. Then Rust scored another big goal in a big game, giving the Penguins a 1-0 lead.
Jake Guentzel deserves credit on that tally, as he made a great pass and did so while taking a hit.
But, again, it’s tough not to focus on Rust’s big-game heroics:

And one more:
Did You Know? Bryan Rust had both goals in @penguins’ 2-1 W in #Game7 of 2016 CF & scored 2x in series-clinching win last round. #StanleyCup pic.twitter.com/LH53blqtRc
