Ducks sign Michigan Tech goalie Angus Redmond

It’s almost a meme at this point that the Anaheim Ducks seem to have annual goalie controversies ... but really, it’s a testament to their willingness to keep looking for value in a league where many teams settle on one guy through thick and thin.

With that in mind, perhaps Michigan Tech goalie Angus Redmond will be involved in a future tug-of-war at the position?

The Ducks signed the netminder to a three-year entry-level contract on Friday.

The 21-year-old went 22-10-5 with a nice .917 save percentage during his lone season with Michigan Tech. Before that, he was in net for the BCHL’s wonderfully named Salmon Arm Silverbacks. (Yes, that team has a fun logo.)
