Hansen hurt in Sharks loss to Ducks

Jannik Hansen has so far made a favorable impression on his new San Jose Sharks teammates.

Acquired at the trade deadline, Hansen has only one assist since joining the Pacific Division leaders, but he has earned strong reviews for his speed and versatility on the wing.

However, there may be concern for him following Saturday’s game. Hansen was hurt midway through the third period against the Anaheim Ducks and didn’t return to the game.

Per Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area, San Jose coach Pete DeBoer didn’t have an update on the condition of Hansen, the 31-year-old forward, following his team’s 2-1 loss.

The Sharks still lead the division, however with the result Saturday, their advantage has slipped to just four points over the Ducks.

The Sharks begin a four-game road trip on Monday, when they face the Dallas Stars.
