Martin Hanzal will not play for Wild today due to illness

Martin Hanzal will not be in the lineup for the Minnesota Wild on Sunday afternoon for their huge Central Division showdown against the Chicago Blackhawks.

The team announced less than an hour before puck drop that Hanzal will not play in the game due to an illness.

He will be replaced in the lineup for Jordan Schroeder.

In seven games with the Wild Hanzal has recorded four assists. They acquired him at the NHL trade deadline from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for several draft picks.

Schroeder last played on March 2 against the Columbus Blue Jackets. In 29 games this season he has four goals and seven assists.
