Blackhawks chase Devan Dubnyk after just five minutes

Patrick Kane didn't waste any time putting the Blackhawks on the board, scoring a goal 51 seconds into the game to put Chicago up 1-0 on the Wild.

Devan Dubnyk had one of the shortest outings of his career on Sunday afternoon when he managed to last just five minutes and face only two shots against the Chicago Blackhawks.

The reason for the quick hook?

Both shots he faced ended up in the back of the net.

It all started just one minute into the first period when Patrick Kane pounced on a loose puck in the slot after Marco Scandella was unable to make a clean play on it. You can see that goal in the video above.

Less than four minutes later Artemi Panarin put an end to Dubnyk’s day when he beat him with this wicked one-timer to give the Blackhawks an early 2-0 lead.

The Blackhawks offense has been on a roll over the past few weeks with Kane and Panarin doing most of the damage for them. It did not take them long to continue it on Sunday afternoon as they were able to force one of the NHL’s top goalies out of the game after just two shots.

Dubnyk was replaced by backup Darcy Kuemper.
