Cody McLeod and Jordin Tootoo dropped the gloves right at center ice in the first period of Saturday’s game between the host Nashville Predators and Chicago Blackhawks.
McLeod had the obvious size advantage, but both landed some heavy shots before they got tangled up and officials intervened.
The Blackhawks are looking to extend their winning streak to seven games and, at least for now, take over first in the Central Division, while the Predators are looking to put eight points distance between them and the St. Louis Blues for third in the Central.
