The Montreal Canadiens shocked the hockey world over the summer when they traded defenseman P.K. Subban to the Nashville Predators for Shea Weber.
Given Subban’s skill, production, and popularity both on and off the ice, it was a massive move that will be analyzed and talked about for years.
On Thursday night, Subban made his first visit to Montreal as a visiting player when the Predators were in town. The night started off with the Canadiens playing a video tribute to one of the most popular players the franchise has ever had.
This is the video.

The video, and accompanying cheers from the crowd, brought Subban to tears.

Before the game the Predators players allowed Subban to take the ice for warmups on his own (seen here).
