It’s been a difficult first half of the season for the Detroit Red Wings, and now they could be facing injuries on the blue line.
The Red Wings, already eight points out of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, lost 2-0 to the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday. Their already abysmal power play was unsuccessful in three attempts, and they only generated 23 shots on goal throughout the entire game.
They were also forced to play the third period with just four defensemen, after Niklas Kronwall and Brendan Smith left the game.
Both suffered lower-body injuries and didn’t return.
Also said Sproul and Marchenko should be ready to go if needed. #RedWings
