Earlier this week, Jeff Zatkoff relayed positive news about his health after coming back from a reported groin injury suffered in practice.

The good news was short-lived. Zatkoff is once again dealing with injury. He took himself out of Friday’s game after two periods against the Ottawa Senators.

Head coach Darryl Sutter didn’t have an update on the Kings’ goalie following the game, however reports state he suffered a lower-body injury.

As a result, the Kings on Saturday recalled goalie Jack Campbell on an emergency basis from the AHL’s Ontario Reign, as per LA Kings Insider.

This is the latest development for a Kings team that already this season has experienced injuries to several key players, including the team’s No. 1 goalie Jonathan Quick, who was expected to miss three months with a groin injury.

With Quick out, the Kings have had to rely heavily on Peter Budaj, who has now played in 13 games -- 11 of those have been starts -- with a 7-5 record and a .912 save percentage.
