Video: Blackhawks rookie Motte leaves game after crashing heavily into the boards (Updated)

Chicago Blackhawks rookie forward Tyler Motte left Sunday’s game against the Dallas Stars, and it was later announced he wouldn’t return.

Motte fell awkwardly into the boards after getting tangled up with Radek Faksa while chasing the puck in the Dallas zone.

In 12 games with Chicago, Motte, the University of Michigan product, has three goals and six points.

Updated: Per CSN Chicago’s Tracey Myers, head coach Joel Quenneville said Motte suffered a lower-body injury and he “might miss some games.”
