Video: Ben Bishop is gonna want to have this goal back

It’s been an ugly tournament for Team USA and things aren’t going much better on Thursday night.

To their credit, the Americans managed to fight back from 1-0 and 2-1 deficits in their game against the Czech Republic.

Unfortunately, things got away from them in the second period.

With the score tied 2-2 late in the second period, Andrej Sustr beat Ben Bishop from a terrible angle to give the Czechs the lead.

It’s safe to say Bishop will want to have this one back:

Team USA head coach John Tortorella replaced Bishop with Cory Schneider at the start of the third period.

In the end, this game is meaningless, but it would have been nice to see the Americans show a little more pride to close out the tournament.

They have 20 minutes left to pick up a World Cup win. They currently trail 4-2.
