NEW YORK (AP) The New York Islanders have agreed to a one-year deal with goaltender Jean-Francois Berube.

Berube, 24, made his NHL debut with the Islanders last season, posting a 3-2-1 record with a 2.71 goals-against average and .914 save percentage in seven games.

The Islanders claimed Berube off waivers from the Kings on Oct. 6, 2015.

He led the American Hockey League with 37 wins in 2014-15 and backstopped the Manchester Monarchs to a Calder Cup championship.

The Kings selected Berube in the fourth round (95th overall) of the 2009 draft. He, along with Jaroslav Halak and Thomas Greiss, will make for a crowded crease in Brooklyn next season. At the Isles’ locker clear out day in May, Halak said the three-goalie setup was “not ideal,” adding that management will “have to decide which way they want to go for next season.”
