Time almost ran out, but the Pittsburgh Penguins were rewarded for a dominant second period with a late goal to give them the lead in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final.

With the series tied 1-1 heading into Wednesday’s contest, Carl Hagelin finally beat Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy with 10 seconds remaining in the second period to open the scoring.

The Penguins outshot the Lightning 21-6 in the middle frame.
