The Dallas Stars aren’t expecting to have Tyler Seguin for at least the first two games of their series with the Blues.

“He can’t skate yet, I can say that,” GM Jim Nill said yesterday, per the Dallas Morning News. “He’s day-to-day, and once he gets on the ice, it’s probably four to five days from there.”

The Stars host the Blues Friday and Sunday before heading to St. Louis for Games 3 and 4 on Tuesday and Thursday.

It’s not entirely clear what’s keeping Seguin off the ice. His original injury was a partial cut of his Achilles, but his new injury may only be related to that.

This morning, Stars coach Lindy Ruff reportedly wouldn’t (or couldn’t) provide an estimate on when Seguin might start skating.
