If Game 5 was any indication, any remaining games between the Islanders and Panthers will be close.
On Sunday, Florida was the first team to get on the board. Jonathan Huberdeau buried a wrister by Thomas Greiss and boy was it pretty. Not only was the wrist-shot perfect, but to make it even tougher to execute, the Panthers forward buried the goal while falling down.
That was Huberdeau’s first career playoff goal.
Midway through the second period, the Panthers still hold a 1-0 lead in Game 6. Florida needs this win to force Game 7.
Here’s some reaction from the Twitterverse:
Oh. My. God. Did you see that from Huberdeau? Even the NYI crowd gasped. What a shot while falling.
