Columbus forward Jared Boll will have a disciplinary hearing for his laet hit on Philly’s Pierre-Edouard Bellemare on Tuesday night, the NHL’s Department of Player Safety has announced.
Boll was given a five-minute interference major and game misconduct on the play, which occurred early in the second period of Columbus’ eventual 3-2 win. Bellemare appeared shaken up on the play, but did return to finish the contest and log just under 11 minutes of ice time.
It’s worth noting Boll has a history of supplemental discipline. Last March, he was suspended three games for a headshot on then-Ducks forward Patrick Maroon.
