Carey Price takes the next step in his recovery from a lower-body injury

The Canadiens play the Boston Bruins in Game 3 of the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs Tuesday in Montreal. Price sent a message on Twitter early Monday saying: “If anyone finds two labs running around Candiac they’re mine.” Candiac is a suburb south of Montreal. Local TSN radio reported that a caller who heard their report on the incident found the dogs and returned them to Price, and that the caller got an autographed stick in return. Finally, some good news for the Montreal Canadiens.

Carey Price, who’s been out since Nov. 27 with a lower-body injury, has started skating with his goalie equipment.

Price has been skating without his gear for a while now, but late last week he hit the ice with his equipment during a closed practice session at the Bell Center.

Earlier this morning, RDS recorded visual evidence of Price skating with his equipment.

It’s kind of a big deal in Montreal.

Price hit the ice for roughly 45 minutes on Monday morning.

The Canadiens are in San Jose, so no one in the organization has provided an update on Price’s status. If the last few months are any indication, don’t expect them to divulge any more details regarding this mysterious ailment.
