It looks like the Calgary Flames will be sending at least one player packing before Monday’s trade deadline.

According to TSN’s Darren Dreger, the Flames have already informed Kris Russell that he’ll likely be dealt to another team.

The Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins are the front-runners to land Russell at this point, per Dreger.

In the meantime, the Flames are being extra cautious with Russell’s lower-body injury.

The 28-year-old skated during Calgary’s morning skate on Saturday, but it looks like he’ll miss his seventh consecutive game.

With few defensemen available as rentals this year, the Flames could get a nice return on a player with Russell’s skill set.

He has 15 points in 51 games this season, but he managed to put up 34 points in 2014-15.
