It’s important to note that things can change quickly, especially as the trade deadline rapidly approaches on Monday.
So, consider this a status report: it’s sounding more and more like Loui Eriksson may finish the 2015-16 season with the Boston Bruins. Even if they can’t come to terms on a contract extension.
The negotiations seem pretty serious as of Thursday night, although perhaps things will move quite a bit on Friday? It sounds like there’s an offer on the table, as Bruins Daily’s Jimmy Murphy and TSN’s Darren Dreger discussed:
Negotiations will continue tomorrow. https://t.co/HUEoCVP7bp

Promising? Maybe, although Dreger then pours a little cold water on that optimism:
Eriksson talks expected to resume tmrw, but large gap remains. Bruins options: 1) close gap 2) trade 3) keep as own rental. #TradeCentre

So, again, as of this moment it sounds like the Bruins are quite interested in making it work with Eriksson ... but it sounds like a lot remains up in the air.

His limited trade list of 14 teams remains the same
Should the Bruins change course and be trade deadline sellers?
