L.A. Kings defenseman Luke Schenn wasn’t pleased after being knocked from behind into teammate Jonathan Quick, which sent the goalie sprawling, and immediately decided to drop the gloves with the perpetrator, Washington Capitals’ forward Tom Wilson.
The fight occurred early in the second period of Tuesday’s game.
Both players were assessed majors for fighting, while Wilson was given an extra minor for interference.
Schenn quickly got to his feet after hitting the boards and went right back at Wilson, prompting a brief but spirited tilt in the L.A. zone.
