Yesterday, Ray Emery was released from his professional tryout with the Toronto Marlies, but it didn’t take him too long to find work.

According to Sportnet’s Chris Johnston, Emery is expected to continue his career in the German League with Adler Mannheim.

Emery tried to latch on with three different teams in North America this season (Tampa Bay Lightning, Ontario Reign, Toronto Marlies) and has failed each time...so off to Germany he goes!

With Adler Mannheim, he’ll join former NHLers Glen Metropolit, Jamie Tardif, Danny Richmond, Jochen Hecht, Mathieu Carle, Brandon Yip, Steve Wagner and Marcel Goc.

The 33-year-old didn’t play in an NHL game this year, but he did suit up in 31 games with the Flyers in 2014-15.

There’s a good chance his NHL days are over.
