Video: Kings’ Shore scores as Coyotes goalie Domingue removes mask during play (Updated)

Nick Shore scored a rather unusual goal for the L.A. Kings on Saturday.

Shore was credited with the goal, which put the Kings into a tie game at one-goal apiece against the Arizona Coyotes, as he fired the puck into a wide open net after Coyotes goalie Louis Domingue removed his mask while play was still continuing.

Seconds prior to that, however, Domingue was involved in a collision with Tanner Pearson as the Arizona netminder played the puck from behind his net. The turnover resulted in the Shore goal. As he got back to his skates, Domingue removed his mask and then tried to plead his case to the official after the puck went in.

Update: Below is an explanation from Domingue on what occurred on the goal, from his perspective.
