The Winnipeg Jets will be without Mathieu Perreault for the remainder of Saturday’s game with the New Jersey Devils due to a lower-body injury, the team announced via Twitter.
That’s a tough break for the already struggling Jets.
Perreault, 28, was not only on pace for his best season as far as offensive production goes, but he’s a puck possession demon with a team-best 56.4 Corsi For per cent rating at five-on-five. He’s also within the top 30 NHL players with at least 300 minutes played at five-on-five for that category this season, as per stats.hockeyanalysis.com.
Perreault out for rest of game for Jets after suffering lower-body injury. Was slow to get up after collision with Ruutu in first.
