Video: Flyers put an end to any Habs momentum from Winter Classic

Any hint of momentum started by the Montreal Canadiens from their Winter Classic triumph against the Boston Bruins came to an abrupt end Tuesday.

The Habs, playing for the first time since the Jan. 1 showdown at Gillette Stadium, lost to the Philadelphia Flyers by a final score of 4-3, able to manufacture only 24 shots on goal in the process. Eleven of those came in the third period.

A turnover inside the Montreal defensive end led to Sean Couturier scoring his seventh goal of the season and the eventual winner in the third period for Philadelphia.

The Habs have now lost eight of their last 10 games, dropping further behind the red-hot Florida Panthers -- winners of 10 in a row -- in the Atlantic Division.

After losing three in a row on a recent California road trip, the Flyers earned their first win of 2016.
