Video: Bruins’ Marchand spears Turris

Brad Marchand didn’t do any favors for his reputation on Tuesday.

After a controversial low hit on Mark Borowiecki earlier in Tuesday’s game against the Ottawa Senators -- one that is reportedly being reviewed by the league’s Department of Player Safety -- Marchand was at it again, this time in the third period, when he speared Kyle Turris during a scrum in front of the Boston net after a stoppage in play.

Marchand was given a minor penalty for slashing.

Earlier this season, Marchand was speared by Brandon Prust, which earned the Vancouver Canucks forward a $5,000 fine.

The Bruins defeated the Senators by a final score of 7-3. Mayhem ensued in the final minute, as multiple fights broke out. According to NHL.com, the two teams combined for 110 penalty minutes throughout the entire game.
