Philadelphia Flyers fans aren’t happy that Alex Chiasson avoided getting a boarding penalty on Saturday, and Flyers players don’t seem happy with Chiasson specifically.
You can see why in the video above, as Chiasson boarded Scott Laughton, prompting Sam Gagner to drop the gloves.
It’s too early to tell if this will cause problems for Laughton, but here are some observations about his situation.
Laughton had a concussion last season and gets pounded here by Chaisson. No penalty?

Laughton up quickly, which is a good sign. Heads straight off to the locker room, though. Here comes protocol.

Observers who aren’t a little Flyers-leaning seem to think Chiasson got away with one, too.
I don't know what boarding is. I thought Chiasson's hit on Laughton fit the profile more than Savard on Ryan. Nothing vs 5 and a game.

Should the Department of Player Safety look at this one?
