The Columbus Blue Jackets have managed to build a 3-0 lead against the Nashville Predators, but they’ll need to protect it with just two pairs of defensemen.
That’s because the Blue Jackets lost both Cody Goloubef and Fedor Tyutin to upper-body injuries that they won’t return from, according to the Columbus Dispatch’s Aaron Portzline.
#CBJ Fedor Tyutin and Cody Goloubef both have upper body injuries. Neither will return tonight vs. #Preds. #CBJ down to four defensemen

Goloubef’s situation may be the most troubling, as he’s been hospitalized, according to Fox Sports Ohio’s telecast.
Apparently Goloubef suffered a fractured jaw, you can see how in the video above.
#CBJ D Cody Goloubef suffered a fractured jaw in the 1st period & has been transported to Dublin Methodist Hospital for further treatment.
