Jonathan Bernier is often criticized for giving up weak goals, but Derek Stepan’s tally in Sunday’s game might just be the softest one he’s ever given up.
As you can see from the video at the top of the page, Stepan dumps the puck on goal as he crosses the red line and Bernier lets it trickle through.

Bernier’s teammates may not have spoken to him during the TV timeout, but they bailed him out less than four minutes later, as Joffrey Lupul tied the game 2-2.
After 40 minutes, the game is still tied.
